That exactly is the scenario the new KingRex UC192 addresses. As such it's not a dAc—it never enters the analog domain—but a DDC or digital-to-digital converter. Specifically it converts USB to coaxial S/PDIF, AES/EBU and I²S. Both S/PDIF paths are coupled with an isolation pulse transformer.
